Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was on hand in North Korea for the historic meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong un earlier this week.
Rodman has been a friend of Kim Jong un since 2013 and taken numerous trips to North Korea over the years to visit the dictator.
This past week he made another trip to witness the meeting between Trump and Kim Jong un where he was moved to tears by the progress made between the two countries after so long of warring tactics.
After the successful meeting, where President Trump and Kim Jong un signed a denuclearization agreement White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders gave Rodman a call to thank him for helping to move these talks forward for America and the world.
“Well, I was just calling to say that the President has seen some of your comments over the last several days and he just wanted me to reach out and thank you for some of the positive things you’ve said and appreciate you being helpful in the process.”
Rodman thanked her for calling and said he is proud to have been a part of this process. Sarah responded and left him grinning from ear to ear.
“Thank you. I know he appreciates it and again we appreciate your support, you being here, and being so vocal about it. So I just wanted to call and pass that on.”
It’s refreshing to see a celebrity go to bat for President Trump and just as Sarah Huckabee said, Trump appreciates it greatly!
